You will be coached through a process which will make you think about and question how you approach losing weight and various related aspects of your life.

Weight loss

Most people try to lose weight with none or very little idea about how to do it apart from the very basic advice of "exercise more and eat less".

If it was only that simple then no one would be overweight when in reality 37% of people in the UK are overweight and a further 26% of people are classed as obese. That’s well over half of people that are struggling with their weight!

If you want to play any game and win, then you need to know the rules. If you don’t fully understand how to lose weight then how can you ever expect to do it?

In the weight loss part of your retreat you’ll be shown exactly how to lose weight, and we will apply this to you and your specific situation which is very important.

It will become crystal clear how you can reach your desired weight, and so you’ll feel in full control of your weight. There will be no guessing or making it up as you go along like most people do, you’ll know exactly what to do to reach the weight you want.

You’ll also be shown how to lose a specific amount of weight each week.

Doing exercise is a crucial part of losing weight and being able to keep it off. It also helps you get a body that you are happy with after you’ve lost weight.

In the exercise part of your retreat we will make sure that you are doing exercise that is right for you and you’ll be shown how to enjoy your exercise.

You will be shown how to overcome any obstacles relating to exercise which may have put you off doing exercise in the past, or which may have made you struggle with exercise and affected your enjoyment.

We will also put together a realistic and enjoyable plan where you are doing exercise that you enjoy as well as using the right exercise techniques that are specially suited to you. This will keep your exercise interesting and enjoyable, as well as helping you get maximum improvement with both your fitness and weight loss.

Many people exercise but if they are doing the wrong things then they will pick up injuries or they struggle to improve. Knowing that you enjoy your exercise and are doing the right things and seeing quick improvements is also much more motivating. This exercise part of your retreat will show you exactly how to do this.

As part of your retreat we will also look at doing 2 or 3 exercise sessions, based on what we think is best during your review. This will help you and your coach evaluate your exercise options and see which exercise you will enjoy the most, and also see what exercise techniques are going to help you the most. You are likely going to really enjoy this part of your retreat.

Diet

Most people will go on dozens of diets through their lifetime and still end up at a similar weight as when they started, usually heavier. Well there are hundreds of diets and they don’t work! Again this is shown by 37% of people in the UK that are overweight and another 26% that are obese. 

In the diet part of your retreat you will see the reality that you never have to "go on a diet" ever again, and you shouldn’t. You’ll be shown that there are much easier, much healthier, and much more enjoyable ways to lose weight, and these are the ones we’ll be using.

We will discuss healthy eating and your previous approach to foods and eating. From doing this you’ll be able to fully understand your relationship with food and you will be clear about what you can do to have a diet that is healthier, more enjoyable, and also allows you to lose weight.

When you fully understand healthy eating it becomes much easier to develop and improve your diet. Without this knowledge you’ll be doing things that work against you and keep you struggling with your weight, rather than working for you.

As part of this process you’ll be shown how to develop a healthy diet that you actually enjoy and find easy to stick to, while you also lose weight at the same time. Most people feel like they have to diet and battle with their weight, but with your coaching you’ll be doing the complete opposite.

You’ll also discover the fundamental principles of healthy eating, and shown how to bring these in as part of your diet.

Plus you’ll be shown how to balance having treats and eating healthily. Yes you can still have treats, and you don’t need to feel like you can’t have anything or hate your diet to lose weight.

This diet part of your retreat makes it clear how to develop your diet to achieve successful weight loss. Plus you are shown how to have a healthy diet that you enjoy, find easy to stick to, as well as helping you lose weight.

As part of your retreat we will also do 2 shopping trips where we look at and discuss different foods and food options, both for healthy eating and weight loss. Motivation

Getting motivated for a few weeks or a few months is fairly easy. We see it every year as people make New Year resolutions or want to lose weight for a holiday or some event like a wedding.
